I went to the Salon Academy six years ago, never again. I asked for light golden brown. They dyed my hair jet black by mistake. And then the stylist and her supervisor told me there was nothing they could do about it, I'd just have to let it grow out. It took hours and hours, and I walked out of there looking like the wicked witch of the west.
I did manage to lighten it a bit by repeatedly using dawn dishwasher detergent, but I wouldn't recommend it for healthy hair.
