marigold - I envy you living on the golf course - think it would be awesome to have a view like that - some people suffer from sour grapes I'm afraid.
If they are irrigating the course I believe the smell will go away in a short time. Let me be the first to thank you for putting up with it so the next time I play Red Fish the conditions will undoubtedly be improved.
