Default Questions about a new roof
We are in the market for a new roof as ours is 20+ years old. I had one quote this morning and it seemed quite high to me. Most homes here in the older section are around 1200 SF......does that mean the roof should be about that as well? Or perhaps a bit more due to the slope?

What is about the price we could expect? An old thread mentioned $275 per square (100 SF).....what is the going price in The Villages?

This quoter mentioned that due to the number of solatubes we have.....if there was rust on them, they would have to be REPLACED or the new roof warranty would not be valid. Has anyone else heard that before? So I would have to spend thousands EXTRA if the contractor found rust?

I am going to get more quotes of course, just wondered if anyone could give an idea what the normal 2 bedroom home would pay for a new roof.
