If you want to stay with the wire shelving, and just rearrange it this is fairly straight forward. That is what I did one both closets, I set up a high and a low shelf. This allows 2 rows of clothing. Also, I installed the new mounting brackets into the studs, which the original installers did not. I also bought a ClosetMaid cabinet kit with drawers for the one closet fit very nicely and is a do it yourself project.

One word of caution, several of the studs in the closet area maybe metal. I used a small drill for a pilot hole and it was obvious if I hit a wood or metal stud. For the metal studs, I left the pilot hole and used a sheet metal screw for the mounting. For the wood studs, used the normal expandable plugs. What I found was the expandable plug were being cutoff by the metal stud and would pull out very easily.
