sbennett...I haven't found any official census numbers....TV is probably growing too fast to keep up. On TV's commercial property website they have a population growth chart. In 2000 TV had 25,000 residents; 47,000 in 2004 and 65,000 in 2007. So, that's a growth of 40,000 residents in 7 years. I would say the average age of new residents is probably in the low 60s.
I'm in the under 55 bracket but, as Fumar says, it's all about your mental age. I have played golf, tennis, and pickleball with lots of folks well in their 70s and their spirit and energy is phenomenal. This is not your parents' retirement life...it's a whole different world.
