The doctors mentioned above are great, if you have MEDICARE or any OPEN plan. If you are in a PPO or HMO you need to use the doctors on their list of participating doctors.
We go to Dr. Allen Schwartz who has an office in Sumter Landing near Too Jays. It took us two years to find him and he accepts our insurance. He has a nice staff as well.

I also see a cardiologist named Dr. Ramon Torres whose office is over on 441/27 near the Wal=Mart. Took me a year to find him.

The Villages does provide information on doctors and what I do is computer search to find out where they went to med school and where they did their internship/residency. If they are educated in a country that may have a lesser education level, I pass on the doc. I also pass if their residency or internship was not done in a good U.S. hospital.

Sorry, but I do insist that the doctor understands me and I understand him/her. Trust and understanding are important features in a patient/doctor relationship. I have seen that some doctors from countries where women are second class citizens, do not relate well to female patients, particularly if the doctor is male.

Just my own opinion and input. You need to evaluate all the features/aspects that are important to you and then find out if they accept your coverage. If you are under 65 as my husband and I are, and in a PPO or HMO, it is much more difficult.

Best of luck. ;D
