I'm quite certain this is a scam. Received a message from Officer (whoever) calling from the IRS, saying I need to call right away, blahblablah, and if I don't he feels sorry for what will happen. Not very well spoken (although he didn't actually say blahblah blah...that's me paraphrasing
) Obviously a scam, but in my haste I deleted the message, and am now curious. Has anyone else ever received or heard of this scam? What's the point? I know on a lot of the international ones they are actually using your phone # to bill other calls, so I hesitate to call them back, just to see. Also, I can't seem to get a truly FREE reverse phone lookup website. Anybody have one?
