depends on doctor?
Sounds right as far as wait. Sometimes it is a matter of the doctor.
Some docs allow nurses and or labs to post normal results and some docs don't. You see, often what may look abnormal to a patient is still within normal limit. .e some of the results are related to immature red cells etc and depending on a persons condition it is of no consequence if values are abnormal sooo some docs like to review condition of pt before releasing the results. On the other hand some docs allow the release.
This is how it works where I am. I have had many a call from patients who do not know how to interpret results that are within normal limits. Of course, I am up north but think this could be the case.
Also if the labs are sent away, out of state or if insurance requires certain labs then the doctor is at their mercy.
