When I saw a neighbor's roof being replaced several months ago I immediately called the Warranty Department;our area was not one of those that were supposed to have the faulty shingles. I was told that it all depended on which roofing company the builders used and that our builder did not use the suspected shingles. So I was very surprised to get a letter 2 weeks ago asking if I wanted to get a free inspection. Of course I sent the postcard back but now I'm wondering who's wrong: the Warranty Dept or Owens Corning? I hope the latter.

Our roof has Oakridge Shingles and the color is Brownwood. Our roof was inspected and our letter stated the roof did not need to be replaced.

All roofs in our immediate neighborhood have been or are scheduled to be replaced. I have asked for a re inspection.

Curious does anyone have the Brownwood Shingle that has been replaced or have you received a letter indicating your roof is OK ?
