Our roof has Oakridge Shingles the color is Shasta White. We received a letter stating it was inspected and the shingles were good and the roof did not need replacing. When I questioned Owens about when they did the inspection they gave me three different dates. They finally admitted they made a mistake and sent someone to do what they said was a re-inspection even though they could not provide the date of the original inspection, same result according to Owens roof is fine. Everytime it rains we have little piles of shingle granules wash out the gutters. When I asked Owens about the granules washing off they said that was normal. This is the eighth house we have owned the fourth in Florida and we have never experienced this with any other roof. Since the reason for the recall was the granules not being properly adhered I have serious doubts about the shingles on our roof not being defective. I'm not sure what the next step should be. Any suggestions from homeowners who have been through this would be appreciated. Most of our neighbors roofs have been replaced.
