That's baloney, IMO. If that's the case, charge $1000 for him. Our dog cost $1000 six years ago. Anyone can come up with $150. Doesn't mean they'll take him to a vet. It sounds like you're trying to recoup costs. You have better options that are much better for finding the dog a good home.
