I watched all of "The War".....very good. The Longest Day was the benchmark until it was it was replaced by my new fav...."Band of Brothers". Richard Winters, commander of Easy Company is an extraordinary man. The 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 2nd Battalion of the 101st Airborne Division was one the most awesome units. To tell their story, in the way the producers did, was truly a wonderful work of journalism. I tear-up at sometime during each episode.
