Some fear trickle chargers when no one is around to double check, but unhooking a fully charged battery is safe. Also, gas starts going bad after two months, but adding a fuel stablizer works for up to a year. Add it to the tank and run the engine long enough to get it all through the fuel system. Having some one drive it a couple times a month is also good if you can trust them and have the right insurance. You can also do the "in storage" bit for insurance and even lic. if you are gone longer periods. At all times, beware of mold. But then, why leave The Villages, this is heaven on earth.
