The 2014 Yamaha Drive with EFI comes with 11.4:1 helical gears. The 8:1 gears were designed for older models with carburetors. The Yamaha Drive (G29) was designed to go 15 mph maximum. The governor can be set to allow the cart to operate beyond 19.9, but the remainder of the cart is not designed for such speeds; including the brakes and suspension.
