We have had great neighbors here in the Villages but elsewhere not so much.

Not all of the tenants of the Clearwater, FL area Criminal Defense Lawyer mentioned in the link above were bad neighbors. Some were, some were not.

In Reno, we lived a few doors down from a lawyer/National Guard fighter pilot who was married to a beautiful stewardess. There were many wild stories about this man who later became a General at the Pentagon and is now a security consultant for the government. They were good neighbors though. I cut their lawn for a few years along with mine and another neighbors who was deeply into model trains. The model train enthusiast was across the street from the Washoe County Grand Jury Foreman who you did not want keeping an eye on you.

While I was in Dinkytown (near the U of MN Minneapolis campus) and living with Jennifer V. in 1989-1990 we lived next to a Fraternity which would get quite rowdy Friday and Saturday nights. Not too bad though as it was an Engineering Fraternity and these boys often had to study rather hard.

I lived next to a park in Minneapolis one summer of 1988 where you would often hear sirens, shots, and yelling. The lengths I sometimes went to find a cheap deal on rent while going to law school. I did not get to know the neighbors all that well wanting to stay indoors as much as possible and not mingle. You never knew who was involved with the drug deals across the street in the park. The US Mail would sometimes wind up torn up on the lawn from people looking for money or anything else they could use. I was renting from a false friend from the University of Minnesota Law School who thought he needed to be closer to "his people". This was a heavily African-American neighborhood at that time and my phony friend was African-American. He also turned out to be a rotten neighbor when he returned earlier than planned and wanted to stay with me for a while. I was not looking for companionship of that kind. And after that I would get quips from this man about his meeting my parents. You never know what some people are really like. He also ran the Computer Room at the University of Minnesota Law School which caused quite a problem with me as I needed to use it but wanted nothing to do with this man. I am not gay nor bi-sexual but would often get remarks about lover's tiffs because of rumors going around. This seemed to be this man's MO with getting dates. Manipulation and putting people into positions that they did not want to put in. I had heard that a woman in the First Year of Law School in 1986-1987 had encountered these kind of tricks done by him and was driven to drop out of the University of Minnesota Law School. So, I just told the story to my real friends at that time in Legal Assistance to Minnesota Prisoners (LAMP) and they got me through that 3rd year of Law School with my using the Legal Assistance to Minnesota Prisoners computer whenever I could. The fellow LAMP Stillwater Student Director (now a Judge in St. Paul) had told me about what had happened with this 1st Year Female Law Student and why she had suddenly dropped out.
