Default Tri-County population estimated to grow 255,000 by 2020

How are we going to add 250,00 more people in the next 6 years if TV is reaching build-out soon? That's 2 1/2 times our present population. Small developments and RV parks wouldn't add very much to that number. Where did they get those numbers and where are they going live?

There is a lot of open land between the Turnpike & 44 and more to the west.

The Villages South maybe????

Taken from a state website:

"The proposed Turnpike interchange would serve the rapidly growing tri-county area that includes northeastern Sumter County and adjacent areas in Lake and Marion counties. It is projected that the total population within the tri-county area will grow from approximately 515,000 today to more than 770,000 by the year 2020. This new interchange is vital for the continued economic growth and vitality of the community."

The Villages interchange has been put on a slight delay to fix problems at the 301/Turnpike interchange first.
