Russ, More than one insured has reported on here that this is the case. An Allstate agent on at least one occasion stated this at one of the golf cart safety meeting. It does make sense. A golf cart is insured differently than a motor vehicle. If modifications to the cart change it from a cart to effectively an unregistered and uninsured vehicle, insurance companies, notorious for fighting claims, can use that as a reason to deny.
