My neighbor recently purchased a five year old Yamaha cart, and in the last week or so the clutch started slipping. He had it looked at by a local cart repair person (no, I don't know who), who drove it to see what the clutch was doing, and when he was done, he said he could fix the problem, and that he also insisted on slowing it down. Its top speed was between 25 and 30 mph, and the golf cart repair person was worried about the cart's mechanical ability to handle the high speed, and my neighbor's ability to handle it as well. All is well now - the clutch is fixed and the cart maxes out at 20 MPH.
