This can be done even if there are only metal studs in the wall.

1. Measure exactly where you want the cabinets on the wall.
2. Remove a horizontal strip of sheetrock 5 inches wide about a foot below where the top of the cabinet will be for the entire length of where the cabinets will cover.
3. Take a 2 X 4 and cut it to the width of the space between the metal studs. put it through the opening you created and hold it horizontal between the metal studs at about where the top of the cabinets will be, and using sheet rock screws anchor it in place through the sheet rock. Do this for the entire length of the cabinets you want to hang.
4. I also inset a 2 X 4 for as long as I can vertically into the metal stud and anchor it through the sheet rock with screws.
5. Do this so your cabinets will cover everything you are adding. Than hang the cabinets screwing into the horizontal and vertical 2 X 4 pieces you just installed.

This will give you a much stronger support for the cabinets than any type of wall anchors.
