Coming on this thread late but thought you may like this soup recipe that we call in my neck of the woods Venus de Milo soup after the local restaurant named Venus de Milo that created it.

1 lb lean hamburger
1 medium onion chopped
1 clove of chopped garlic
1 small can of tomato paste
1 can of beef broth
3-4 quarts of water (less if you like soup thicker more for thinner)
2 beef bouillon cubes
1 tsp of Italian seasoning
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 box of Orzo pastine
2 cans of Vegall drained
Your favorite grated cheese
2 tblsp olive oil for browning hamburger

Directions:

In a good size soup pot brown hamburger and when almost browned throw in the chopped onions and garlic and saute them for a few minutes. Add liquids, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, bouillon cubes, and Vegall and simmer the time it takes to cook the Orzo in a separate pot. When Orzo done cooking drain and add to the soup. Add grated cheese when serving and crusty Italian or French bread completes this meal. Enjoy
