I am on 24X7. yes there have been a few glitches but they are minimal and easily explained - someone dug where he was not supposed to. I( have been out probably two hours in the past three years and that is stretching it.
Since I have never had the problems you mentioned I need to ask what area you are in.
I do agree that the COMCAST technical support is less than desired - be it the voice or the internet support. But I don'tfind any tech support any good.
