If you like cabbage, this is sooo good and easy. You can make a big dish of this and freeze as much as you like.
QUICK UNSTUFFED CABBAGE
1 head of cabbage chopped into medium pieces
1 lb ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 T + 1/3 c raw rice ( not instant)
1//4 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp salt
2 cans condensed tomato soup
1 1/2 cups water
1/4-1/2 cup grated Parm or Italian Cheese
Grease 9x13 dish/pan. Spread cabbage on bottom of pan. Brown meat and onion. Drain and stir in rice, salt and pepper. Spoon over cabbage. In saucepan heat soup and water to boiling and pour over mixture in pan. Sprinkle with cheese (I have added more cheese if I didn't think it covers- the cheese layer is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY AS I HAVE TRIED IT WITHOUT AND YOU CAN'T ELIMINATE IT!). Cover tightly with foil
bake for 90 minutes at 350. Let sit 10 minutes when it comes out of oven.
