2BNTV, I sympathize with your gym predicament, but I'm afraid the repeated mantra here that "people think the rules don't apply to them" would come into play.
I got a deed complaint once about a lamppost decoration, which doesn't apply to the historic district, anyway. But whoever the nosy Parker neighbor was, it did tick me off.
To be clear, it would take A LOT to get me personally to complain to a business manager about anything. I avoid public confrontation at all costs -- the thought of speaking up makes me cringe. Also, I'm very inward-focused and don't much pay attention to my surroundings. But I can see the point of the people who complained about you and the waitress not following the rules. I don't agree with them, but I think I understand.

This is what ticks me off royally. You never should have received that complaint. The person who complained should have been told that his complaint was invalid, and why. Rather than make you feel bad needlessly, deed compliance needs to do its job correctly.
