When I got home I noticed that the package was stamped "pork chops, $4.99 per pound". I went back and brought this to the managers attention and he, again, gave me a refund. The last straw was during the holiday season when I bought tortilla chips. It was December, I was making something to take to a gathering. When I opened the package, the smell about knocked me over. Judging by the smell, the chips were old and rancid. Sure enough, when I checked the date, the bag had an October expiration date. The chips carried a Fresh Market brand. There definitely was nothing fresh about them. I had been burned three times and decided not to go back to the store. I emailed Fresh Market headquarters and told them my story. In their reply, the representative assured me that the manager would want to know and that my name had been passed on to the store and I would be called (I never was). So I never returned and I have repeated this story to everyone. There are no yellow signs but there are other ways to cheat a customer.
I have been pleased with the groceries and service over there, otherwise I would not have suggested the place. Possibly I have just been lucky.
