Hi! I'm very satisfied with the HD we get. As for the speed, when they say up to 50Mbps, they mean "UP TO." You're speed will depend on whither you operate on wi-fi or you're hard wired. Wi-fi significantly diminishes the speed, but I'm satisfied with what I receive. I usually get between 20 and 30 Mbps out of the 50 using wi-fi, depending on the location of the server I select for the test.

I also like that I can program my recordings using my laptop and like it better than doing it directly using the controller. The down side is that I can only setup one favorites group. There is a work around this, but it's not really worth what it would take.
