I agree with the above comment, and then there is always the possibility of liability. my ground rules going forward will be to help a person doing their own work on their own equipment and lend a hand or advice as necessary. One word of caution, I just finished doing some of my own electrical work that I had inspected and there are specific requirements on the person doing the work, unless it is the home owner doing the work on their own house.
Just my thoughts.
