I know it is hard to tell if a person is truly handicapped but when a person exits a vehicle and sprints into a store while parked in a handicapped zone it is a pretty good indication that he/she does not own the placard. Even when the handicapped person is in the vehicle but does not exit it and another person gets out and walks briskly into the store. Rant over!

As my father was disabled and used a wheelchair for a number of years I totally agree. We always had to pull up to a door and unload and then park wherever we could as there was never a handicapped space available because of people completely able to to walk with no crutches or assistance of any kind much less in need of a wheel chair. If people can do the 50 yard dash to the store they should not have a handicap placard and then a lot of times the handicapped person is not even in the vehicle. Obviously this is another well intention-ed program that is totally out of control.
