The Unitarian Church, as mentioned above, is an option chosen for their beliefs of being more open minded than some of the more traditional churches. We have family members that are members of the local church in PA and they open their doors to many beliefs, thoughts, and practices.
I know I am probably one of the more naive people posting on this board, but this poster registered in 2008. Maybe it took them 6 years to get up the courage to ask what is potentially a heated discussion. People with strong religious beliefs may have a problem with someone looking for something outside the norm. Didn't many of us lurk before posting?
