Thanks for the Mr. Slim link. That is a solution, but not cheap.

But deed restricted, even if it's effectively screened from offsite view?

What would it cost to increase the main unit by a half ton and installing a duct to the garage?* Close the duct off when you don't want the AC in the garage.

I need to ask the forum's AC sponsor, Sun Kool, this question, don't I.* Is it cost effective to "trade out" systems to increase capacity compared to spending $3,000 on a separate "hidden" unit?

After all this, it would seem to me that a through the wall unit could be installed so it is flush with the outside wall, creating no more impact than the grillwork which could be painted the same color as the house.* And if installed three feet off the ground, there could be bushes planted a couple of feet away.* Are the deed restrictions THAT narrow that they don't consider the ultimate effect?
