It
is that simple, and there will be no resolution as long as there are Islamic fundamentalists who believe that Israel must be destroyed. There is no prospect that the fundamentalist branch will disappear or moderate their position.
Surely everyone knows that multiple leaders of Iran have called for the total destruction of Israel. History has demonstrated the attempts at this destruction by Israel's neighboring nations.
Egypt's President Anwar Sadat signed a peace treaty with Israel and was subsequently assassinated by Islamic fundamentalists in his own army.
Various individuals who aspired to leadership of the Palestine population in the Gaza Strip, and who advocated establishing peace with the Israelis, have also been killed.

When you have a culture in which the children are taught in their schools that Jews are descendants of monkeys and pigs; are shown maps of the region in which Israel is not shown to exist; and are told that all Jews should be killed, it is unlikely that future generations will be open to peace proposals.
Prager's video, derided by some as simplistic, is nontheless correct.
There are Arabs who want Israel destroyed. They are the aggressors. If they would cease their attacks on Israel then the conflict would end.
