Of course a lot of employers have switched some of their jobs to part time as things were forced upon them. You can't get blood out of a turnip. For profit businesses keep the economy alive. I can't get over all the folks who haven't worked for a for profit business.

Gracie, I worked for many for-profit businesses over the span of my working life. If you, or someone you know, never lost a job because the "for-profit" companies and shareholders didn't think their profits were high enough, than you have been very blessed indeed. Yes, most folks our age did minimum wage jobs on summer break from school or as after-school jobs, knowing that it was, indeed, temporary as we got our education and "climbed up the ladder". In today's economy, thhough, people who have lost good paying jobs knit together a variety of jobs paying minimal wages just to keep their heads above water.
