We too hate snow. That's why we rented for four years and have owned for three. Still up north but once the snow flies, it's hasta la vista. My wife figured if not now, when???
We had looked around and gone to some open houses and scoped out where we wanted to be near. By the way, there really isn't a bad spot in The Villages. It's all in priorities. Prior to buying, we came down one September and said no playing and we're here to house hunt and that's what we did. Take your time, ask questions and do your homework.
