"Dad it wasn't my fault..(Tears). I explain that we have to be careful or our insurance will go thru the roof. She says the others drivers insurance will cover it. A colleague with a daughter a year older than mine had accident after accident and it caused a huge amount of stress and expense for her. I couldn't get help but think "here we go..."
The next day We get a call from the other drivers insurance. They say "We are taking full responsibility". 4 days later the car is repaired and as good as new. It was all remove and replace (bumper, headlight etc.,). I am incredulous!
In the end this old man was wrong again (I am getting used to it). - At least I am sure thats what my 19 year old thinks. You can't tell a 19 year anything...

I am glad that everything worked out for the best considering the event, and most importantly, it sounds like your daughter was not hurt. I am incredulous that there was not an attempt to assign some portion of "causal effect" (read: blame) on your daughter due to her "lack of driving experience". I am in no means implying that there should be blame on her, I am just so used to hearing that a younger person has some percentage of blame as an automatic. Kudos to your insurance company.
