I drove my electric cart 43 miles, then plugged it into my charger which was plugged into a meter that monitors, volts, amps kwh and if you plug in your electricity rate per kwh, it will total cost. It cost $1.11 to recharge the cart.
At $3.63 a gallon of gas that's equivalent to getting over 140 miles per gallon. So I don't think the reduction in your SECO bill would offset your increased fuel bill, as most gas carts get no more than 40 mpg.
