I agree with you, e06.

The episode you describe reflects the moral decay of society in several ways.

--the actions of the young.

--the inaction of the theater manager, who feared retaliation, perhaps violently against the theater, the manager, or the patrons.

--the inability of the justice system to prevent retaliation and repeat action, thus they were not called. That is, if the youths persisted beyond the reproach of the theater manager, police could be summoned, but they are powerless, as are the courts; punishments are lenient, and there is no protection for the victims in today's society.

Sadly, the result is fewer people enjoying the public company of others, furthering the cycle of disrespect for other human beings.

I fear for our grandchildren, and their children.
