Healthy eating
This is not really a reply but an ongoing story, there does not seem a category for this.
As many of you know, Norma jean, a local Guru. is writing a book which she is collaborating on with many of you.
She sent me a copy of her latest work, and it is a "MUST READ" of what her book is about. The points she makes are so appropriate to many of us living here, I can not wait for the completion of her work.
here is an exert :

Being a caretaker is hard, but watching a family member decline from this miserable dis-ease was so depressing, as time went on, I just did not care what or when I ate. I began to feel fatigued, was putting on weight eating foods wrong for me, yet right for him. We ate together, and I included his beneficial blood type foods which are meats. He always loved his hamburgers and steaks, but for me, having Type A blood they do nothing except cause me digestive problems contributing to weight gain. Soon in no time at all, pain began to radiate down the right leg. I had been through this before, and knew exactly where this was headed. Believe me when I say food, along with lack of exercise began the decline. I had hoped my move to Erie, would encourage my family to follow the healthy ways I had lived for some time now but instead, I went their way in a slow but steady decline in part from the depression of watching what was happening to dad along with the pressures of care taking.
Dad was always a meat and potato lover. I never ate so much meat in my life. At my healthiest, I rarely ate meats, turkey, pork or chicken, which are wrong for my type A blood, and at one point went without any of them for 5 years. During that time I did eat eggs and wild seafood, but none of the above. Now, here I was, not only eating all those types of flesh proteins, I began to eat the baked goods I made for him in an effort to keep him from loosing too much weight. I made an oatmeal cookie with an antioxidant mixture full of heart healthy walnuts and cinnamon with my antioxidant mixture of ground flax seed, help seed, chia seed and NON GMO soy lecithin granules. They were so delicious, but soon, the added meats I was consuming along with the cookies and other baked goods, added to my own weight gain.
