Thumbs down Why

Lest there be any misunderstanding. It is alleged The Village's Warranty Dept. knew very early that a number of roofs were defective and elected not to tell the owners and waited for them to find out on their own. If you called The Villages Warranty Dept. and gave them your home location they could IMMEDIATELY tell you if you had "Oakridge Shingles" and the shingles should be investigated!! One of the reasons a number of residents are being denied "labor" is becuse of the run out of the warranty which is because The Villages Warranty Dept. HID the fact that they may have defective Oakridge shingles. This was not an oversight but alleged it was deliberate not to tell the appropriate residents their shingles may be defective thereby allowing the variour warranties to be honored. The residents who are paying the labor should be outraged that the ones (Warranty Dept) they counted on did not tell them of a defect with their home which now has costs the Owner's thousands of dollars. The question is alegedly why did that organization decide to hide the problem from the owners? Some questions that are alleged is what impact would that have on future buyers, what impact would that have on the contractor (Owen's Corning), how much work would it take to identify the appropriate homes and notify the owners, etc. Who is left holding the bag? the owner's. Sad commentary. As they say, follow the money !
