My parents, along with my wife and I, bought new homes here the first of year and both of us signed contracts and paid for a year of lawn care and pest control service with Service Smart. None of us live here full time yet. We all arrived back the first of July to our yards looking awful, not only was the grass high but weeds were growing in the beds and pieces of palm trees in my parents yard were everywhere! We both had to call Service Smart to get them to come out. When they came out to do my yard, the mower left two very long strands of high grass in-between my yard and the golf course. Talk about cutting corners and no pride in ones work! I had to call them to get them to come back out to cut this. When they finished mowing I asked one of them about the weeds in my bed, he told me I would have to call in to their office to get another crew out to do this. So who calls when I'm not around for months and cannot monitor my yard??
My parents have been gone out of state for three weeks now while we are still in our house. I keep going by watching and waiting to see when Service Smart will mow their grass which is high again from 4 weeks of not being mowed. Same with my house, I watch my neighbors yard being cut weekly by an efficient and effective crew, whether it needs it or not. I am at the point now of not wanting to call in to just wait to see how long it takes them to mow our yards. Apparently they think we are both gone from our homes and they can just skip our yards on a weekly basis. Then I start to think of the good money we have each spent with this company (well over $1,000 each, for the packages we purchased) and it burns me up to realize how bad they are taking advantage of us by ignoring our yards completely! Really when a company doesn't honor their contract with a customer, they might as well be stealing that customer's money!
If your thinking of new yard service in TV for your home, please don't make the mistake we made by falling for this companies enticing ads and pricing in the newspaper. I can tell you now from experience that what the previous posters wrote on here is 100% correct. My parents and I are stuck with poor service from Service Smart until the first of next year. Then, you can be assured, we will be looking for a new company that cares about their work ethics and their customers.
