Need a little help here please.
I'm wondering if anyone has a general idea about how much water is used for watering your lawn.
I know there are a lot of depending factors, I'm just looking for generalities.
The reason for asking is I just received our ultility bill. This is the 1st full bill since we closed on our home at the end of June.
Since we are not fully retired, we do not live in our home full time.
As a matter of fact, we are there Saturdays & Sunday mornings only.
The water usage was a little over 12,000 gallons. I was shocked.
Then I remembered that the water is used for our lawn watering.
Our primary home is on well water for the sprinklers so quite honestly, I don't have a clue as to the usage for watering the lawn.
Our lot is small, I believe the sprinklers come on twice a week.
I'm just curious. Does watering your lawn use that much water ?
Is it possible I may have a water leak somewhere ?
