Default Belated Happy Anniversity for Social Security!
The Social Security Law's anniversary was August 14th, 1935.

Social Security History

Next year will 80 year old anniversary.

I know this law was passed, as they probably thought people would not live much longer, than 65. I am sure glad this law was passed, as I know I would have had to work until my last day on earth. I guess before this law, families took care of the elderly. I shudder to think of how many people suffered, if their families didn't take them in. I also wonder how many people were financially well off, to support, their last days.

Anybody have any thoughts on how the USA would have fared, if this law wasn't passed?
