Except for the coffee pot that sounded like a moaning dog, not much happened. We just sat in the room designated for the Jury Panel for about 3 hours while people quietly talked or read. Most people just read as they do not like you speculating on what the case might be.
There were a number of Villagers there. I would expect about half the people in that room-- among about 35-- were Villagers. About 5 left before much of anything happened. I am not counting them. I was Juror 68 and would bet there were a lot more than just 68 called for Monday, May 19, 2014. Many probably take the 70 or over out of jury service which you get in the mail. If you are 70 or over you do not need to report for jury duty just send in the papers telling them you want to be excused.
