Definitely Sakura - no doubt the best around. Personally, I don't see a difference between the two Sakura locations for sushi. If you're going for a box lunch, however, I do like the one in Spanish Springs better.

My only complaint with Sakura's sushi has been that they weren't using enough rice on their rolls. The rice didn't completely cover the seaweed. They say that many Villagers don't want much rice, but I'm not one of those. Problem solved by asking for a full serving of rice on each roll when ordering. I've not had sushi there that I didn't like, but my favorites are spicy tuna and the spicy mango shrimp. So good!

As for making it yourself, I took classes several years ago from an amazing sushi chef and have all of the necessary equipment for making sushi rolls. As far as I'm concerned, it's not worth the time and mess required to make it at home. I gladly pay to have it made for me!
