Yes, the small square hamburgers from Krystal will be hot off the grill, with the brand new 1700 square foot restaurant opening in early September of 2014. This will be the first Krystal in Lake County and one of the most anticipated restaurants for many local residents. Krystal, headquartered in Atlanta, is the closest thing to the famous White Castle, located in other parts of the country. Krystal enjoys strong sales of their famous chili and crispy French fries. They also offer a huge Angus Burger and chicken sandwiches, along with milkshakes and even a breakfast menu. The closest Krystal to The Villages had been in Ocala, so this location on Highway 27, just south of Wendy's in Leesburg, will shorten the drive when you get that craving for a hot, fresh slider, complete with tiny grilled onions, pickle and mustard.
