Hubbie and I got ours on the same day. His is recalled, mine isn't. Go figure.
Now here's the catch: because his battery kept dying, he replaced it using a kit from the Internet (not recommended unless you are used to working with electronics, because this can void the warranty. He would like Apple to send him a new battery as a spare; Apple would replace the battery or refund the cost of the one he bought - except that he no longer has the receipt. After hours on the phone today working up the chain he still doesn't have an answer on if they will simply send him a battery; they say they will call him back "soon".
