Yesterday my husband and I were at Walmart and we heard a little boy crying standing alone. I am guessing he was about six.
I went up to him and asked if he was lost and he said no and backed away from me. I knew right away what he had been taught and I knew to him I was a stranger. I didn't want to leave him and I didn't want to scare him and meanwhile my husband ran to customer service to get help. I asked him what his daddy's name was and he said he was at work. I told him that he could stay right there and we would try to find his mom. Somehow the customer service person got him moved over to in front of the customer service station and soon his mom and his two brothers were reunited and that mom got a very very clingy and tight hug from this little guy. She thanked us all and I assured her that we have all been separated from our children. I could see that Mom had talked to this small boy about NOT going with strangers.
I was so happy to see them reunited and everyone safe. It made me smile all day.
