Midge....My Travellers homeowners renewal in Aug 07 was slated to go up by about 45% (yikes) and then I had the windstorm mitigation inspection done and my 07-08 premium is now about 20% lower than 06-07. Go figure.
Definitely shop around and ask your agent about the reason for increase and whether the windstorm elements can be reduced.
