We have what I've always called the "faux bidet" and have had this arrangement for some years. It was my husband's idea and was, I think, inspired by the two heads in our sailboat. It consists of a simple hose/water sprayer from Home Depot plumbed into the water supply line of the toilet, and adjusted for water pressure. The hose/sprayer fits into a receptacle mounted on the wall within reach. The water is never really warm but it sprays just fine and that's okay.
Recently, we were invited by friends to a private viewing of their new "bidet", installed by Paul (?) Sorry, his last name has slipped away. Maybe it's the same one the OP has? It is a wonderful electronic contraption with many features.
Anyway, after seeing it operate, I now call ours the "Poor Man's" faux bidet.
