Been here for 17 plus years since retirement and for 3 back in the late 70's. A few observations. Yes it is hot and humid during the summer and the amount of rain seems cyclical. Some years more than others. There are a few things that are constant in Florida. The days will start getting shorter in September and evenings will be more pleasant. The love bugs will arrive in May and September. The snow birds will start their southern migration soon and head north around Easter. And finally only a few days with frost and no snow shoveling or salt and sand covering the roads. There are even days in fall & winter when you can enjoy the sun and swim. So all things considered, it is great to be here.
