I also believe you can be a member of both the FL GHIN system and another state, such as VA as long as you pay the membership fee in both states.
You cannot have two separate GHIN numbers. If you belong to two systems, both
of your memberships will show up when someone pulls your GHIN number up.
Its useful if you have to have a FL GHIN number when you want to play in a tournament in Florida, such as the FSGA one-day events and useful when you
have to have a VA GHIN number when you want to play a tournament there.
