We have an upright freezer and the fridge that came with the house in our garage.
We had the ice maker in the fridge hooked up to the water supply line. We have an extra ice container in that fridge as well so we always have plenty of ice. Also makes it easier when loading up a cooler.

We keep the fridge full of beer, soft drinks, wine, and water. We keep the freezer full of meats and veg we get on sale.

The garage door is insulated and we have a solar attic fan. The garage is usually three to five degrees cooler than the outside temperature (unless there is a rainstorm that suddenly and drastically reduces the outdoor temperature.

We have a ranch/cottage home. Our electric bill is $160 at most in the summer. But we also keep the house at 75 during the day and 71 at night, so that accounts for most of the power we use.
